TISCOR’s PROTRAC Security Provides New Device Options

2006 Press Releases

Four new devices add flexibility and versatility

SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 22, 2006 —TISCOR, an innovator in mobile workforce automation software systems today unveiled PROTRAC Security Version 3.4.6, the newest version of its software used by facilities to streamline security-related documentation. The new application is now available for use with four new devices, which opens up an array of options to users.
The new devices allow for either scanning a bar code or touching an identification tag at specific locations and to document the presence of security personnel at inspection points. Each device time-and-date stamps all officer activities, providing indisputable proof that the checks occurred. After security rounds, the collected information can be quickly uploaded from any of the devices to a PC database, eliminating hand-written log sheets and time-consuming data entry. Reports can then be printed relative to the information required.
New devices are:

PulseStar – The PulseStar is a portable iButton reader designed for maximum durability in both indoor and outdoor applications. It reports a successful iButton scan with a vibrating pulse instead of with sound, making it ideal for use when sound cannot or should not be heard.

LaserLite Pro – The LaserLite Pro combines a laser scanner and Touch Memory button reader with an alphanumeric keypad. An LCD display, 256KB of RAM, convenient one-handed operation, and a lightweight metal housing make the LaserLite Pro ideal for physical security applications.

LaserLite – The LaserLite is a very small, rugged, portable laser bar code scanner. Its unique metal case design and battery system give the user a very reliable and easy-to-use data collector.

CS1504 – The CS1504 is a bar code reader that is small enough to fit in a pocket. It holds 150 scans and is perfect for scan and go security applications.
