TISCOR Hosts Fire User Group Meeting

SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 5, 2007—On February 26-27, TISCOR hosted 50 its fire product customers at its annual Fire User Group Meeting late in February. The User Group Meeting brings together fire and safety professionals from around the country who use TISCOR’s software to schedule, track and document inspections on fire and life safety equipment in many types of facilities. The event updates users on new product developments and promotes the sharing of ideas, experiences and knowledge.

One of the meeting’s objectives was to discuss product direction with customers. "Our software products are most successful when the features and functionality that we add to new versions are structured around what our customers need," said Lucia Morales, TISCOR director of marketing. "The meeting also gives us an opportunity to build on our relationships with these customers and find out first-hand how they think we're doing in areas such as technical support and professional services."

Customers in attendance came from companies such as 3M, Boeing, CITGO, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Dow, Navistar, NASA, SeaWorld and Toyota.

Planned by TISCOR’s Marketing Department, the meeting included presentations from Bobby Anderson, Project Lead; Stephanie Chan, Product Manager; and Matt Williamson, President of Brady Americas. Terry Freund, from Cornell University, gave a special topic presentation. A new component to the meeting was a break-out session that provided customers with the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the new Pocket PC devices that are being used with TISCOR software, a very popular session with customers.

"The customers were pleased with the features and functionality that have been added into FacilityManager for Fire Version 3.7," said Gus Sakis, TISCOR’s Director of Sales. "The direction of product development should be based on what the customers need and we told them that we were looking to them to assist with product development. They were enthusiastic with their participation in laying out the product roadmap for future product releases."

Customers felt that the trip to San Diego was time well spent. Wayne DeSouza of SUNY Downstate Medical Center said, "This was a well-presented seminar professionally done in a relaxed environment. I was impressed in all areas. It was well worth the trip and I can't wait to come back next year."

TISCOR also hosted a lunchtime vendor show, providing the customers with information on other products that can be used within their facilities. Exhibitors included Brady®, Motorola/Symbol® and Intermec.
