TISCOR Enhances Biomedical Equipment Management Software

SAN DIEGO, Calif., October 27, 2009—TISCOR, a pre-eminent leader in automation software systems and a leading provider of total facility management solutions, today announced the release MediMizer Version 13.2, featuring a special emphasis on a compatibility fix with Microsoft™ Windows® security update KB958869.

The MEDI-MIZER product is a software system that has been used by biomedical equipment technicians at health care facilities for more than 25 years to accurately monitor the safety, performance and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment. Used with mobile hand-held computers and bar code technology or as a stand-alone PC software, the solution replaces handwritten log sheets, increasing accuracy and efficiency to better comply with Joint Commission guidelines.

Microsoft recently released Windows security update KB958869 that was not compatible with MediMizer X3's login compatibility checks. If this update is installed (or auto updated) on a customer’s system, MediMizer X3 13.2.30 or below will not allow program log in. We have updated MediMizer to accommodate the Microsoft security update.

Other feature enhancements include:

• The Vendor Form now allows entry of Vendor labor rates of up to $999,999.99.
• When configuring Autolist Report columns, newly added columns are added before the highlighted column on the right instead of always at the end of the list.
• The Work Order Part Used Form accepts more than 40 characters for the Part Description
• Changing Class or Model information does not cause Equipment Preferred Services to be reset to None.
• The time field in the Quick Entry allows for editing of hours

As a general maintenance release, update CDs are being shipped to all MediMizer X3 users under support. All new shipment of MediMizer X3 will also be this version.
